Biography
Theresa Maxis Duchemin pioneered Catholic education and social service, co-founding the Sisters of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to offer schooling and care to those on the margins.
Her courageous efforts to build inclusive communities, even amid misunderstanding, endure through the ministries that recall her name, and Immaculata Cemetery now preserves her peaceful rest.
