Biography

Thomas Bowater Vernon was born into a family of notable standing in the Midlands during the early nineteenth century. His life spanned a period of considerable change in English society, witnessing the full flowering of the Industrial Revolution.

Vernon's death in 1859 came at a relatively young age, cutting short what might have been a fuller life. He was interred at St Mary the Virgin in Hanbury, Worcestershire, where his memory was preserved among the parish records and family monuments.
