Biography
Thomas Elek was born in 1924 and spent his adolescence in Ivry-sur-Seine, where he witnessed the hardships of occupation. From an early age he joined the resistance, becoming known for his intelligence work, daring missions, and the calm focus he brought to dangerous assignments.
He was captured and executed in 1944, but Ivry remembers Thomas as a young man who never wavered in his devotion to liberty and who offered everything he had for the cause.
