Biography

Thomas Helliker (1784–1803) was a young trade unionist whose brief life was devoted to the cause of workers' rights and labor organization. Though he lived only nineteen years, his commitment to improving the conditions of working people demonstrated remarkable dedication to his principles during the early industrial period.

Helliker's early death cut short a life of promise and activism. He was laid to rest at Parish Church of St James in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, where his memory endured as a reminder of the sacrifices made by those who championed the rights of laborers.
