Thomas Humphrey was a respected cricket umpire whose career spanned the mid-nineteenth century. He became known for his fair judgment and deep knowledge of the game during a formative period in cricket's development.

Humphrey's contributions to cricket helped establish standards for the sport during the Victorian era. He was laid to rest at Brookwood Cemetery, one of the era's most prominent burial grounds.
