Biography
Frederic Augustus Juilliard built a reputation as a generous patron of the arts, using the wealth of his family to support music students and institutions. His endowment eventually allowed for the creation of the Juilliard School, a conservatory that would nurture generations of performers and composers.
Those who knew him recall his modest manner, his passion for beauty, and the resolve with which he created opportunities for gifted young artists, a legacy kept alive at Saint Mary's-In-Tuxedo Church Cemetery and beyond.
