Thomas Picton

Biography

Thomas Picton (1822-1891) preserved a life through years of tremendous change and now lies among the peaceful grounds of Cypress Hills Cemetery. While the exact nature of his occupation is not documented, his presence here conveys the contributions of many who worked steadily to support their families and communities.

In remembrance we celebrate the simple virtues of steady work and quiet compassion that defined his lifetime.
