Biography

Thomas Shewell Bailward was a respected member of his community who lived during the late Georgian and early Regency periods. His life spanned the transformative years of English society from 1781 to 1842.

He was laid to rest at the Church of St John the Baptist in Horsington, where his memory is preserved among the parish records and monuments of this historic Somerset church.
