Biography

Tilghman Howard (1797–1844) answered the call to public service as a lawyer and statesman in Indiana, representing his neighbors in the halls of Congress and seeking laws that honored fairness and the public good.

Whether speaking for farmers or advocating for settlers on the frontier, he carried the values of his community with dignity, now remembered at Rockville Cemetery where his life of civic devotion is honored.
