Timothy Guy Phelps

Biography

Timothy Guy Phelps was a respected lawyer whose dedication to public service led him to the California state legislature and, subsequently, to the United States Congress, where he advocated for the interests of his constituents during the 1870s.

After leaving office he returned to the practice of law and supported civic causes, leaving Cypress Lawn Memorial Park as a serene place of rest for a man of steady judgment and civic commitment.
