Biography
Tom Jeffords earned his place in history as a courageous scout and diplomat in the American Southwest, known especially for forging a rare and lasting friendship with Chief Cochise of the Apache. His patience, respect for Native peoples, and willingness to bridge cultures helped bring a measure of peace to troubled lands.
He carried that same calm determination into his later years, and the memory of his efforts in reconciliation and understanding remains honored at Evergreen Mortuary & Cemetery.
