Biography
Tommy Thevenow (1903-1957) was known across baseball diamonds for his sure defense and steady presence at shortstop, most notably with the St. Louis Cardinals where he helped anchor the infield. His teammates admired the focus he brought to every game and the respect he showed to opponents as well as fans.
After his playing days, he continued to share his love of the sport with younger players, offering insight on fundamentals and the importance of teamwork. He rests at Springdale Cemetery, leaving behind memories of quiet perseverance and gracious sportsmanship.
