Trofim Vlasov

Biography

Trofim Vlasov was born in 1901 in Smolensk and served as a military officer, bringing decades of experience to his role during World War II. He represented an older generation of Soviet military professionals who had served through the revolutionary period and the early Soviet years.

Vlasov died in 1941, sacrificing his life during the initial Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union. His death exemplified the losses suffered by experienced military personnel in the early stages of the Great Patriotic War.
