Biography

Ulrike Manhardt blended modernist clarity with human-centered design, creating buildings that welcomed light and fostered community. Her architectural vision centered on the belief that spaces should uplift those who inhabit them, and she shared that belief through both practice and teaching.

Though she departed in 1999, her contributions continue to grace the city, and her spirit endures among the quiet avenues of the Vienna Central Cemetery where she rests.
