Biography

Uri Dan, born in 1935, used photography to document pivotal moments and the subtle moods of Israeli society, earning admiration for his clarity and sensitivity. He believed that a single frame could speak volumes about a shared experience, and he pursued each assignment with humility.

He mentored younger photographers, sharing both technical skill and respect for subjects, leaving behind a body of work cherished by colleagues; Kiryat Shaul Cemetery marks his final rest.
