Biography
Václav Haloun (1897–1979) was a Czech figure who lived through nearly the entire twentieth century, experiencing the Austro-Hungarian Empire's decline, the establishment of Czechoslovakia, and the subsequent communist era. He maintained connections to Prague's Vinohrady neighborhood throughout his long life.
Haloun's longevity allowed him to witness profound historical transformations in his homeland. He passed away in 1979 and was interred at Vinohrady Cemetery, where his memory is preserved among generations of Prague's residents.
