Biography

Václav Hartman was a Czech citizen who lived through one of the most turbulent periods of twentieth-century European history. Born in 1880, he experienced the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, the creation of Czechoslovakia, and the upheavals of World War II.

Hartman spent much of his life in the Louny area of Bohemia, where he became part of the local community. He died in 1945, at the conclusion of World War II, and was buried in the Main cemetery in Louny, leaving behind a legacy rooted in his native region.
