Biography
Václav Koula lived from 1866 to 1949, witnessing the transformation of the Czech lands from the Austro-Hungarian Empire through independence and into the post-war era. His long life spanned more than eight decades of European history.
Koula's legacy is preserved in the Cemetery in Prosek, where he was laid to rest after a full life that encompassed significant historical change and development in his homeland.
