Biography
Václav Petráš (1893–1932) was a member of the Brno community during the formative years of the Czechoslovak Republic. Born in the waning years of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, he came of age during a period of national awakening and cultural development in Moravia.
Though his life was relatively brief, Petráš lived through one of the most transformative periods in Central European history. He is commemorated at Brno Central Cemetery, where his memory rests among the city's residents.
