Biography

Václav Straka was born in 1893 and lived through the most transformative period of Czech history. He witnessed the fall of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and the establishment of the Czechoslovak Republic, experiencing firsthand the cultural, political, and social changes that defined the modern Czech nation.

Straka was a resident of Prague who was part of his community throughout his long life. He passed away in 1969 and was laid to rest in Hostivař cemetery, a final resting place that reflects his deep connection to the Prague area and his life within the community.
