Valér Mende

Biography

Valér Mende (1886–1918) was a Hungarian architect whose career, though brief, contributed to the architectural development of Budapest during the early 20th century. His work reflected the modern architectural sensibilities of the pre-World War I period.

Mende's architectural contributions, though cut short by his early death, remain part of Hungary's built heritage. He was laid to rest at the Fiume Road Graveyard, a memorial to a talented professional whose life was claimed by the turbulent times of his era.
