Biography

Valerian Antonov (1826–1902) was a Russian writer who contributed to the literary culture of 19th-century Russia. His career spanned the middle decades of the century, a period of considerable artistic and intellectual ferment.

Antonov's works reflected the intellectual currents of his time, and he remains part of the literary heritage of Russia. He was laid to rest in Volkovo Cemetery, a final resting place for many notable cultural figures of his era.
