Biography

Vang Pao was a revered Hmong general and military leader whose courage and strategic skill defined his life before and after the conflicts of Southeast Asia. He played a central role as a leader of the Hmong people during the Secret War in Laos and later advocated tirelessly for their rights and resettlement in the United States.

He remained a pillar of strength for Hmong communities, honoring their culture while educating others about their experiences, and his dedication to service inspired many to preserve their heritage with pride.
