Biography
Vasily Bazhanov was a Soviet engineer who contributed to the technical and industrial development of the Soviet Union during the 1920s and 1930s. His expertise was directed toward the modernization and expansion of Soviet industrial capacity during a period of rapid economic transformation.
Bazhanov died in 1939, during the final years of the Great Purge. He was laid to rest at Donskoe cemetery in Moscow, a burial ground that received many victims of Soviet political repression during this era.
