Vasily Vasilyevich Zverev was a Russian mechanical engineer who lived from 1866 to 1904, serving during a period of significant Russian expansion and military development in East Asia. His expertise in mechanical engineering contributed to the development of Port Lüshun, a strategically important location that became a focal point of Russian interests in the region.

His career and presence in Port Lüshun reflect the international dimensions of late nineteenth-century East Asian history, when various foreign powers competed for influence and control. His burial in Lüshunkou District preserves the memory of the diverse international personnel who shaped the region's modern development.
