Biography

Veled Çelebi İzbudak was a notable Turkish writer and scholar whose literary and intellectual contributions enriched Turkish cultural life. Born in 1869, he was part of the intellectual circles that shaped late Ottoman and early Republican thought.

İzbudak's written works reflected his deep engagement with Turkish language, literature, and culture. He continued his scholarly pursuits throughout his long life until his death in 1953. He was interred at Cebeci Asri Cemetery, a testament to the esteem in which he was held by his contemporaries.
