Biography
Victor Planchon, photographer born in 1863, captured the light and rhythms of Lyon through his lens, documenting streets, festivals, and portraits that continue to offer a visual bridge to the city’s past.
He nurtured apprentices, shared his techniques with local artists, and in death he rests at the Guillotière New Cemetery, where admirers come to remember the storyteller who so carefully framed their lives.
