Biography
Victor Renelle was a French resistance fighter who risked his life to oppose Nazi occupation during World War II. Born in 1898, he came to maturity during the First World War and lived through the interwar period before dedicating himself to the cause of French liberation during the darkest hours of the Second World War.
As a member of the Resistance, Renelle embodied the spirit of defiance and courage that characterized those who fought clandestinely against tyranny. His sacrifice and commitment to freedom are honored at Père Lachaise Cemetery, where he rests among the heroes of the French Resistance.
