Biography
Viktor Poplavko was a Soviet politician who served in state administration during the early Soviet years. Born in 1881, he was part of the generation that worked to establish Soviet governmental institutions and policies.
Poplavko was executed at the Kommunarka shooting ground in 1938 during the Great Purge. His death exemplified the tragic fate of many Soviet officials who fell victim to Stalin's terror campaigns.
