Vilmos Komor

Biography

Vilmos Komor was a Hungarian conductor whose musical leadership shaped orchestral performances and cultural life in Hungary. His conducting career spanned much of the twentieth century.

Komor's interpretations and direction of musical ensembles contributed significantly to Hungarian musical culture. He was interred at Farkasréti Cemetery, a distinguished burial place for Hungary's cultural leaders.
