Biography
Vladimir Aleksandrovitsj Pilaev was an Eastern Orthodox priest who ministered to his flock during one of the most challenging periods for the Russian Church. He maintained his faith and pastoral duties despite the hostile environment created by Soviet anti-religious policies.
Pilaev was executed in 1937 as part of Stalin's systematic persecution of the clergy. His grave at Levashovo Memorial Cemetery stands as a testament to the suffering of Orthodox priests during the Great Purge.
