Vladimir Mainov

Biography

Vladimir Mainov (1845–1888) was a Russian writer whose career emerged during the latter half of the 19th century. Based in Tambov Oblast, he contributed to the literary culture of provincial Russia during a period of significant intellectual and artistic development.

Though his life was cut short at age 43, Mainov's work reflected the concerns and sensibilities of his era. His writings offered insights into Russian provincial life and the cultural currents of the 1870s and 1880s.
