Biography
Vladimir Romanovich Knorring was a Russian military officer of considerable rank and experience who served in the Imperial Russian Army. He witnessed the dramatic transformations of the early 20th century and the collapse of the Russian Empire.
Following the Russian Revolution, Knorring settled in exile at Sainte-Geneviève-des-Bois near Paris, where he became part of the Russian military émigré community. He remained there until his death in 1938, maintaining the traditions and camaraderie of Russian officers in exile.
