Biography

Vojtěch Němec was born in 1917 and came of age during the Nazi occupation of Czechoslovakia. He was imprisoned in the Terezín concentration camp, where he died in 1945 as the war drew to a close.

His memory is honored at the National Cemetery in Terezín, a place of remembrance for those who perished in the Holocaust.
