Biography
Voldemar Neiland, a committed amateur wrestler, represented Estonia with strength and dignity at a time when international sport offered a stage for national pride. He trained vigorously, earning respect among his peers for his discipline and fair play.
Later he encouraged younger wrestlers to carry forward the virtues of persistence and respect, and Metsakalmistu now marks his resting place among those who honored Estonia through sport.
