Biography

Volin, the pseudonym of Vsevolod Eikhenbaum, was a Russian-born writer and anarchist who chronicled the tumult of the early twentieth century with lucidity and courage. He carried the stories of the Russian Revolution and the hopes of libertarian comrades into the journals and gatherings of Paris, insisting on memories that might otherwise have faded.

He remained committed to solidarity among displaced workers, artists, and thinkers, documenting their struggles and striving to keep their voices alive in the pursuit of a more just society.
