Biography

Władysław Ryszkiewicz was a Polish military officer who served his nation during the tumultuous early years of the twentieth century. Born in 1897, he came of age during a period of national struggle and military conflict that would reshape the map of Europe.

Ryszkiewicz's military service was cut short when he died in 1919, in the aftermath of the First World War. He was honored with burial at Powązki Military Cemetery in Warsaw, a place of distinction for those who served Poland in uniform.
