Walter Knott began his life as a farmer with a passion for creating delicious preserves, but his curiosity and drive soon turned a roadside stall into the beloved Knott’s Berry Farm. His Boysenberry products and hospitality drew visitors who returned year after year to enjoy his inventive touches.
He was equally committed to sharing the heritage of California’s pioneers, investing in historic preservation and philanthropy so that future generations could experience the warmth and history that inspired him.
