Walter Reiss

Biography

Walter Reiss was born in 1893 and matured during the turbulent interwar years, witnessing both the promise and difficulties of a thriving Brno. He was often described as attentive and thoughtful, someone whose steady optimism helped sustain friends and relatives through moments of doubt.

Though he lived through darkening times in the early 1940s, Walter continued to care for those around him with a sense of quiet resolve, finding solace in long-standing relationships and the values his family taught him. He was laid to rest in the Jewish cemetery in Brno in 1941, remembered for the warmth he offered others.
