Biography

Warren L. Wheaton helped mold the very foundations of Wheaton, Illinois, giving his name to the town as he guided its early growth with foresight and generosity. He supported educational causes and invested in the spiritual life of the community, always mindful of how the town could serve future generations.

As Wheaton Cemetery became the resting place for many of the town’s pioneers, he too was laid to rest there in 1903, leaving behind a legacy of civic leadership, faith, and charity. Residents still recall his conviction that a town thrives when its citizens are united in mutual care.
