Biography
Whitmell P. Martin, born in 1867, devoted much of his life to public service, representing Louisiana as a U.S. Representative while remaining rooted in his Episcopal faith and the small towns of his home state.
After his years in Congress concluded, he returned to the quiet communion of St. John's Episcopal Church and Cemetery, where family still honors his steadfast advocacy and the gracious counsel he offered to constituents and friends alike.
