Biography

Wilbur Wright, who with his brother Orville achieved the first sustained powered flight, coupled a mind for mechanics with relentless perseverance, changing how humanity would think of the skies and laying the groundwork for the aviation age.

Though his life was cut short in 1912, his pioneering spirit lives on in every aircraft taking to the air, and he rests in Woodland Cemetery and Arboretum, where admirers continue to honor his legacy.
