Biography
Wilfrith Elstob was a British military officer who served with distinction during World War I. His military career exemplified the dedication and sacrifice of officers who led their troops through one of history's most devastating conflicts.
Elstob died in 1918 at the age of 30, during the final year of the Great War. He was commemorated at the Pozieres Memorial, which honors the many soldiers who fell in the brutal fighting of the Western Front and have no known grave.
