Biography
Willem Helmers was born in 1917 and became part of the courageous youth who refused to bow to oppression. In The Hague he joined the resistance movement, contributing with youthful determination to efforts that kept hope alive for many.
His service ended in 1943, when he paid the ultimate price in the fight for liberty. He rests at Westduin General Cemetery, where his memory inspires future generations to defend justice.
