William A. A. Wallace

Biography

William A. A. Wallace, born in 1817, watched Texas evolve from frontier to established state; throughout his long life he remained dedicated to the people around him, sharing wisdom earned by years of witnessing the state’s growing pains and triumphs.

He passed in 1899 and was laid to rest in Texas State Cemetery, where visitors today pay tribute to the patience and generosity he offered across generations.
