William Ames

Biography

William Ames, born in 1842, lived through a period of rapid industrial and social change in America. Though his occupation remains unrecorded, he shared in the workaday world of his time and sustained the ties of community that gave meaning to everyday life in Providence.

He rests at Swan Point Cemetery, where family and friends honor his years with fond remembrance and quiet respect.
