Biography
William Anderson Glasgow’s long life witnessed the transition from antebellum Virginia to a new century, and he met those changes with a calm resolve. He maintained close ties with the community in which he lived, contributing however he could to its welfare and unity.
His resting place in Oak Grove Cemetery remains a place of reflection for those who knew him and for later generations who honor the gentle mark he left behind.
