Biography

William Augustus Johnson (1777–1863) carried out his political service with sincerity, representing his constituents while remaining close to the culture and needs of Witham-on-the-Hill.

The Church of St Andrew preserves his memory as that of a public servant who valued integrity and the strength of local church life.
