William Augustus Nichols

Biography

William Augustus Nichols (1818–1869) was a resident whose life may have been connected to military service during the nineteenth century. He lived through the antebellum period, the Civil War, and into the early Reconstruction era.

Nichols was laid to rest at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, a significant military burial ground near St. Louis. His interment at this location suggests a connection to military service or honor.
