Biography

William B. Hays (1844–1912) served as Mayor of Pittsburgh from 1903 to 1906, leading the city during a period of industrial expansion and urban development. His administration oversaw improvements to municipal infrastructure and services.

Hays's tenure reflected the progressive spirit of the early twentieth century, as Pittsburgh continued to establish itself as a major industrial and commercial center.
